SHE'S FINALLY MANAGED TO SUMMON HER FIRST DEMON... Dora Carridine is trying to summon a demon, but she's not very good at Latin and nothing ever works out the way she plans. Her life is fraught with weekly exorcisms and having to watch her father’s fire and brimstone TV show every Sunday. So, when Dora finally succeeds in summoning an incompetent demon lord, she’s absolutely delighted when all hell breaks loose. She thought summoning a sexy demon lord would be the answer to all of her problems, but her problems are only just beginning when her zealot parents try to burn her at the stake, and Dora is left with only one option—to escape and follow her demon straight into Hell.

Claire Chilton just took 'teenage rebellion' into a whole new level. Dora Carridine is a mere sixteen year old, except her father was a priest and she lived in a church. Feeling trapped inside the rules within the religion and her strict parents, she decided to learn a few tricks to summon a Demon. And then, one day, she succeeded.

I really enjoy this book, despite the constant curse words, the writing was simple and enjoyable. Dora wasn't the bad-ass heroine that I loved but in some scenes I kinda admire her. It hurt me a bit that her parents decided that she was possessed (she wasn't) and try to burn her in a stake, Dora didn't weep though, and that was a plus. Love her. And then there is the demon lord she succeeded in summoning, Kieron. Love him. He was a demon, yet he was also the most innocent demon, in human world I mean (He's pass his first time so, not that innocent). The way he thought that Dora was a powerful witch then studies Dora's monopoly board and decided that it was Dora's darkest secret was simply hilarious. He was a demon but he was good, not to mention his short and tiny horn, it's cute. The constant use of shit-involving-spells that Dora cast was a bit disturbing though.

Despite what everyone else say that this book was too cheesy, I don't think so. The romance was there, sure, but it was cut short yet enough. Just the way I like it. And I just can't help to think that hell doesn't seem so bad if those descriptions in this book was real. In fact, it seems like fun (It felt wrong to say that. I prefer heaven) so good job Claire Chilton. If hell seems good, heaven would be... heaven. And I'm not usually bloodthirsty but I just wished Dora's parents die or something. Or at least they apologized. I am team Dora!

So, overall I loved this book, and thank you Ragz Books for sending me a copy. Would definitely read the sequel.
