Bach lives his life with honesty and without restraints, happy to be known as a sexy as all hell, unapologetic asshole.

When he drinks, he drinks hard.

When he wants a woman, he makes sure she knows it.

When he opens his mouth, it’s either to piss someone off or to turn someone on.
You can normally find him with one hand on a bottle and one hand on a woman, trying to forget his past.

Harley Evans is ta twenty-one-year-old year old college student. She's a good girl who fell hard for Dylan, who’d promised her forever. But Dylan, Bach’s best buddy, lied.

He enlisted in the Army, crushing Harley with equal parts anger and sadness. She’d already lost her father to that choice. Heartbroken, she falls back into depression.

Stuck in Crystal Gulf all summer with little to do, Harley needs a distraction. Enter Bach, sexy as f*#ck distraction, ready and willing.

Dylan’s not all bad though. Before he left, he asked Bach to watch out for Harley, knowing she’d never go for a guy like Bach. She’s too good for him. Too good for anyone.

But Dylan was wrong. He never should have left them together. Bach is there to pick up the pieces Dylan left behind. Soon pieces aren't enough. He wants more, needs more Harley.

DESTROY ME is dark, sexy, heartbreaking, and intoxicating.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Super excited to have Shana Vanterpool the author of Destroy Me here today! enjoy my interview with her below!

Please tell us a little bit about your new series, Crystal Gulf! And what the readers can expect from the first instalment, Destroy Me.

First off, thanks for having me! The Crystal Gulf series takes place in a fictional college town in the Gulf of Mexico, called Crystal Gulf. The series follows a unique damaged set of characters that are trying to heal their wounds. It is an emotional, wild, sexy, dark, and satisfying ride! The men are bad, hot, wild forces and the women are strong enough to hang on while they themselves heal.

How many books are you planning to write for this series?

As of right now there are three books planned, but my brain is always churning.

Book 1: Destroy Me is releasing March 8th 2016 featuring Bach and Harley.

Book 2: Damage Me releases September 30st 2016 features Dylan and Hillary from book one.

Book 3: Ruin Me will be releasing December 31st 2016 featuring Jona and Justine, two damaged side characters from book one and two.

What inspired you to write Destroy Me?

I wanted to write about a bad boy who did bad things, who was unapologetic and entirely himself, but deep down was none of those things, who was hurting so badly he used them as a shield. That is Bach. A broken man who will never see his own strength and beauty, but Harley does, and to him that is all that matters.

What makes Destroy Me special?

All books are special, but what I think makes Destroy Me so consuming is the way it’s written and how the characters interact. In The Crystal Gulf Series we get an alternating point of view between both characters, getting a deeper glimpse into both sides. We get to watch BOTH characters fall in love and open up, making for twice the experience.

Some authors consider their characters to be a mirror of themselves (personality wise.) Can you see yourself in any of the characters in the book?

I’m sure subconsciously parts of us end up in all of our characters, but I think these characters are special because I didn’t use myself as the building block. They are themselves, but I can relate to many parts of them. Harley is comfortable with a small social circle and Bach is unapologetically himself, and that’s something I find beautiful.

Any writing tips you want to share to aspiring authors out there?

Write, doubt yourselves, and then prove yourself wrong. When you get down read something that makes you feel up. When you get turned down, think of it as one more chance to hear the word “yes.” And if all else fails drink a cup of coffee and write what makes you happy—sometimes that works too.

Who’s your favourite character from this book and why?

Bach! He is sexy, bad, and says the right things at the wrong times. He’s intoxicating, this storm entering Harley’s life. I love him!

Anything you want to say to the readers?

I want to thank you for having me first, and then I would like to thank those who welcome Bach and Harley into their worlds. I appreciate each and every soul who gives my words a chance—thank you!
